Spidey sense tingling...

Went to Kings to catch the overly-hyped Spiderman 3 today with my cous(trailers and teasers had been screened for more than a year before the actual release). A lotta people and damn hard to get a parking space since it's still a public holiday. I managed, so fuck it.

Anyway, here's my short review:

In terms of storyline, it's somewhat second-rated. Bad guys destroy city, spidey saves the day. Mary Jane's in trouble, spidey saves her ass. Hooray... everybody's happy. It's the little details that lifted this movie up a notch. They'd adapted three new bad guys from the comics, which was cool. New gobby, sandman, and venom. Ironically, one thing odd this time was spidey took the antagonist role in most part. So basically, realize that he's the 'real' bad guy in this movie. The ending was ordinary. Forgive and forget, the classical finale method. Not exactly a genius way to conclude a trilogy. We know chicks dig happy endings, right? Other than that, it's a great family movie as it contemplated much of what was inside my pendidikan moral book. <yawn>

As expected, it's superb technical-wise with all the CGI special effects, sound and digital choreography. In fact, it ruled the entire film(stunt doubles are obsolete nowadays, haven't you heard). CGI was the main attraction here. Really dig the camera angles during the fighting scenes, like em rollercoaster rides. Weee!

Anyways, better just ignore this review and check it out for yourselves. Well, at least it's far better than the cheesiest of cheesy Ghost Rider. Believe that.

Tribute to Foochow Spiderman of U6S3, Ah Chung. Remember this? Muahaha...
